Doctor Donna Strange--Sorceress Supreme

Okay, some backstory is probably needed for this.

In the comics, Doctor Strange actually had a younger sister, Donna. But back when they were younger, while swimming at a lake, Donna got a cramp and drowned. Stephen blamed himself for not being able to save her, and the tragedy served as a great deal as to why he became a doctor (albeit a highly dispassionate one who greatly feared failure, less another similar tragedy happen again).  This was actually going to be talked about in the MCU movie, but for whatever reason, the flashback scene got cut.

So I pondered the idea of an alternate universe where Donna DID manage to be saved from drowning…but her brother died instead, while in the process of saving her.  So Donna ended up being the one to become a doctor, and later, a sorcerer (or ‘ess in this case). But she wasn’t in an accident or anything--she simply just heard about magic and sorcery through the grapevine; investigated it, and wound  up deciding to practice magic herself, as a way to emotionally heal from losing her brother (as she blamed herself for his death).    She now leads a double life; working as a doctor by day, then doing the magic, superhero stuff on the side.

I had an idea for a story where she was fighting a villain, and accidentally got blasted into our dimension.  Naturally, her and Stephen are shocked to see the other sibling alive.  But once they get over the surprise, they’re overjoyed to be able to see one another again, and soon start sharing what they’ve learned about magic and other stuff.  

These couple doodles are probably all the farther the idea’s going to go for now, but none the less, thought I’d share the feels.
